The music of Blue Scholars is one of the best Hip-Hop underground music coming from the Seattle, Washington area. The MC is a Filipino-American born from the Seattle area.

The duo was created about 7 years ago, the members consist of Geologic (Geo) and Sabzi. Geologic real name is George Quibuyen and Sabzi Saba Mohajerjasbi. They’ve already released 8 albums since 2002. They recently opened up for Kanye West on his recent world tour. George Quibuyen is also a known poet in the Seattle area. He is the son of a Filipino immigrant who have lived throughout the northwest of the United States since he was a kid.

Well, I was supposed to write an article about Journey’s new singer Arnel Pineda a while back, but never got a chance to do it. How did Arnel Pineda ever got to this point of leading one of the most celebrated band ever, Journey?

Arnel Pineda grew up in the Philippines and started singing at an early age. He participated in many singing competition when he was young and started performing with various cover bands at the age of 15. He travelled such place as Singapore, Hong Kong and and Japan in his early days with various cover bands.

After getting discovered by Journey’s lead guitar player on Youtube, weeks later he was signed on to be the new lead singer of Journey. Arnel Pineda have an astonishing vocal voice and nailed on the right notes on the now infamous youtube video featuring him and his old band The zoo covering a Journey song.

Willie Revillame: How did he become a Famous Filipino?

Did you know that Willie Revillame started as a professional clown back in the 80′s? Now he is one of the powerful man in the Philippine entertainment industry. He first got his break when he met Randy Santiago back in 1986 and was hired as a sidekick to a show called Lunch Date. After the show he was cast alongside Joey Marquez in the movie Bobocop. I rememberd that particular Filipino movie, but I don’t remember Willie Revillame being on that movie, maybe I was too young. He then co-cost a noon time show Sang Linggo nAPO Sila on ABS-CBN in the late 90′s with Randy Santiago and John Estrada. After a brief stint with the noontime show, he joined co-host Randy Santiago on another noontime show called Magandang Tanghali Bayan. In 2005, he was hired to host a new show called Wowowee and history was made.
