Pneumonia: Many Filipino children die from the disease every year

Pneumonia has become the “no. 1 killer” for children under the age of 5 in the Philippines according to health officials in the Philippines. More than 5,000 or so Filipino children die from the disease every year.

According to the Philippines Health Officials, not enough awareness are being  taken into action. Philippines is ranked among the top countries in the world on most recorded Pneumonia cases. Pneumonia is caused by bacteria from a respiratory infection or inflammation. The major symptoms are cough, fever, chest pains, headache and muscle aches, which could be very fatal if not treated early. Most vaccines are scares and medicines are very expensive, which are also the major problems of why many children are dying from Pneumonia.

The government of the Philippines are not doing enough for this reinsurance problem thats been going on for a long time. Also families have responsibility to do what ever possible when this disease occurs on one of their children.
