The Philippine football scene is reduced to practice games, semi-pro tournaments and school competitions. The football scene in the Philippines is still in the early stages, Basketball will always be the main sports in the Philippines. It still is not able to break through the barrier and find its place in the lives of most Filipinos. The Football scene is slowly getting some attention. A new league has been established, the Filipino Premier League, now just a semi-pro tournament, is one of the more recent accomplishments in the football scene here.
