For many Filipinos, Jollibee restaurants been a landmark stop in cities in the Philippines, but McDonalds been steadily been competing with Jollibee Corp since the early 80’s, while other American fast food corporation have flopped. Filipinos are used to a traditional meal, thats is why Jollibee’s has done so well as same as McDonalds in the Philippines. Incorporating traditional rice, Filipino Hotdogs and Halo Halo made jollibee a staple in the Phillipines, now also Jollibee restaurant has migrated in California with over 11 franchise restaurants. McDonalds has also adapted in the Philippines combining traditional Filipino dishes in their menu, but also maintaining their traditional menu. Jollibee is making a move around the world with their ‘not so american style menu with Asian flavor’. In Order for McDonalds to compete with Jollibee, it must adapt to  the to mixed culture of America.
