Why are Filipinos not Asian, but considered Pacific Islanders? Who coined Filipinos are Pacific Islanders?
The regions of the Philippines is in the same regions as Indonesia and Malaysia which is the region of the Pacific. Since Filipinos originated from Austronesian, but was conquered by many foreigners such as Spain, Japan and the U.S. The Philippines is a mixture of a mix diversity of cultures and languages.
The Philippines is considered South east Asia, but we aren’t Asian, but Pacific Islanders.
