The Philippines have many beaches, but nothing compares to Baracay. The white sand, perfect climate and the friendly locals. Once in step into Barocay, you would not want to step back out. Early on, Boracay was an relatively unknown to the public and was considered sacred to the locals, because it was untouched. Early in the 70′s, tourist started to flock to Boracay Island and big tourism started and people started coming.
Now, Boracay is a big tourist attraction with many restaurants, bars and motel can be found in Boracay Island. There are luxury motels, but cheap motels are still available. The best time to come to Boracay Island is druing May-June, because the weather is just right. The locals are very friendly and the beaches are very clean. From Manila, its a plane ride to neighboring Pana Island then 20 minutes boat ride to Boracay.
