Filipino Americans are the largest Asian ethic in California just barely surpassing Chinese people . The last census which was in 2000, there were roughly 2,364,815 Filipinos in the United States. The largest Filipino Asian community is located in Los Angeles, California. The first Filipinos arrived in the New World around the early 1500 in Morro Bay, California. Also a village of Manila men landed in Louisiana in the mid 1700. There are documentaries about early Filipinos in America.
