The Historic Filipinotown is located Northwest of Downtown Los Angeles, California. Passing by the Historic neighborhood, Filipino businesses and many varieties of restaurants can be found in the area of — Temple St., Beverly Blvd., and Alvarado St. Along Beverly Boulevard there is long rectangular Filipino mural and also Our Lady of Loretto Church can be found around the corner. The big rush of Filipinos started to Southern California after the 1965 immigration act, and most of them stayed in what is now called the Historic Filipinotown in downtown L.A. Now most Filipinos has moved out of the area, and now is predominantly Latino, but still have that Filipino scene with restaurants like Goldilocks and numerous Filipino businesses.
